Meeting Opened: 7:30pm

 

Present: J Bates, J Brown, T Bailey, G Adams, G Leech, R Harding

New Members: Anthony Watt was moved to be accepted by G Leech to be accepted as a member of the club and seconded by T Bailye.

                            Frank Loknar was moved to be accepted by G Leech to be accepted as a member of the club and seconded by G Adams.

 

Resignations: Nil

 

Minutes of previous meeting were read and accepted as correct by J Bates, seconded by G Adams and carried.

 

Business Arising from the Minutes:

  1. T Bailey has moved the paint and cement from the club toilets to his place in order to prevent vandalism of club property.

 

Correspondence In:

  1. E-mail from Ross Cant acknowledging Tim Bailey’s club fees.

 

Correspondence Out:

  1. Letter to Ross Cant including club membership form MR1 and cheque.
  2. Reply to Dept of Culture and Arts to update their web site on changes to the GAM club.

 

Business Arising from Correspondence: Nil

 

Financial report was read, accepted as correct by G Adams and seconded by J Bates.

 

Reports: Nil

 

General Business:

  1. J Bates asked if adjustments need to be made to the helicopter stand. Club members think its ok.
  2. Should look at getting the remaining concrete work completed when the weather fines up. Probably in two months.
  3. J Bates to get the frequency keys off C Altus. The new members form needs to be updated to include the option of paying the $5.00 if they want the club to supply their frequency key.
  4. At the next AGM club members to decide if the $10.00 nomination fee should be dropped due to the increased costs associated with being a financial club member.
  5. Members who no longer wish to remain with the club should be asked to hand in their gate keys: Action G Leech
  6. Every time a new member joins they will be handed the AWA rule book and a copy of the GAM constitution: Action G Leech
  7. T Bailey would like to organise a busy bee and general clean up of the club site on Sunday the 7th of September, which is two weeks from now at about 1:00PM. J Bates will supply 4WD and trailer and members are to bring their own tools and gloves.
  8. It was agreed that the meeting minutes should be emailed to all member who have an email address and G Adams will place the minutes on the club web site.
  9. T Bailey has dug up and burnt out another tree stump on the club field.
